McLellan Crossings 074 - Exploring all the upgrades!

Updated: Apr 20

Southern Kentucky Builders Association Parade of Homes 2023

The Exterior

This beautiful home started with a rustic black roof and black drip edge. The upgraded front door has a larger window insert. The front door is painted Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black. The pop of black on the front door plays off of the upgraded black four over four windows.

The brick is Magnolia Bay with white mortar. The vinyl trim accents are Linen, which is a creamy white.

The gable over the garage features Cobblestone Hardie shakes. The gable over the front door also has Cobblestone Hardie, in a vertical pattern. pattern.

The cedar porch post and cedar shutters are stained a dark brown color.

The shaker panel garage door is in the popular color sandstone.

The Interior

Walking through the front door you immediately notice the great floor plan! This is the Pin Oak 1560 sq ft floor plan, which has true split bedrooms and an open concept living space. The entry way leads to a small hallway with the guest bedrooms and bathroom. The flooring is a light to medium wood tone LVP. The walls are painted Drift of Mist with Pure white ceilings and trim.

The guest bathroom is painted Homburg Grey. The tile flooring is Pierson Gray laid in a classic brick pattern. The vanity is McGrath Basal, which is a dark wood tone. The vanity pulls and knobs are gold and play off of the fun round gold mirror. The countertop is upgraded white Carrara Quartz. The plumbing fixtures are all black.

Moving into the two guest bedrooms, the flooring and paint continue. This home has LVP throughout, so there is no carpet.

For perspective, the laundry room is located opposite of the guest bedrooms and bathroom. The laundry room ties in to the guest bath with the same wall color, tile, and cabinet color. This laundry room features a custom, upgraded butcher block table. This is the perfect spot for your laundry basket or even a dog bowl! The laundry room doubles as the mud room with access to the garage.

Entering the living room, the space is both open and cozy! The kitchen is open to the living room, but not exposed to the front door. This large living room is bright and inviting.

Turning you see the beautiful eat in kitchen and dining spaces. The lower cabinets and island are McGrath Basalt, a dark wood color. The upper cabinets are Cotton, which is a bright white color. On the left side of the kitchen is a full size pantry. We love storage!

The upgraded white quartz countertops are dreamy and durable! Even the kitchen sink got upgraded! We typically use stainless sinks, but for this home we used a granite sink in Cinder. The beautiful backsplash is a handmade Zellige tile with warm gray grout. Due to the nature of handmade tiles, they add a natural, imperfect element to the kitchen. The gold bar pulls add a shine that give the kitchen another layer!

The dining room is just off of the kitchen and has a great view of the backyard through the twin window.

How pretty is the contemporary 6 light chandelier?!

The island is the heart of the kitchen! It is the perfect space for friends and family to gather. This kitchen is a mix of beauty and function. We love building beautiful homes, but our top priority is function and quality. This kitchen checks all of the boxes!

On the opposite side of the living room is the primary suit. It is completely opposite from the guest area, providing total privacy.

As you enter the primary suit, you notice the floors and paint continue. All of the doors throughout the home have black hardware. This includes the sliding barn door in the primary bedroom.

Through the barn door is the primary bath and walk in closet. The tile flooring is District White laid in a Herringbone pattern for added interest. The double vanity cabinet and pulls match the rest of the house, but the countertop is a beautiful creamy quartz.

Of course I have to show you the primary closet! It is right off of the bathroom and has all of the storage you could want!

This home was built as a spec, but we always have a homeowner in mind. Throughout the building process we stay consistent in style and quality to build homes we are proud of!
